Rollin', rollin', rollin', keep them doggies rollin'...

I got a new bike.
This makes me VERY happy.

I cried when I sold my old bike.
It was so beautiful that I wanted to make
sweet sweet love to it, but it was so heavy
I couldn't actually ride it.

Which is a draw back for a bike.

And so,
with Pu gaining some bike riding moves,
and the Sweetie game to drag the other 2
up all the hills in the Chariot bike trailer.
We had our first family ride.

Then later just Pu and I went rollin'
and I became the shepherd for the big girl.

So, she 'needed' some bike shorts
for our mommy and me bike riding adventures.

It feels so vulnerable riding
with little kids in the city.
My first ride with Pu on a carless street,
on a bike route, being super safe and responsible-
we got honked at.

It was just one grumpy dude,
but it rattled my cage.
In my head I flipped him the bird.

One of the drawbacks of being a
'role model' (eye roll) is I have to curb all
my agro desires and flip the bird on the inside.

Who honks at a six year old?!

When I grew up in a small town, my bike
was totally my ticket to adventure.
I went everywhere and had total freedom.
No helmet, back for dinner, and then out again.

Not for this one, or the Little's who come next.
If I could sew them a bubble wrap space suit...

I felt like I was playing high stakes poker
with her little brains.
Don't smash them on the road!!
Assume everyone is nuts and trying to kill you!!
Every pot hole is your enemy!!
Was that bunny looking at you funny?!?

That was my inside voice.
On the outside I was all

"Nice moves raw hide."
And then I wiped my brow.

KCWC: Day 7, the Final Day

Well that was exhausting!

Another pair of pants for Nu.

And then I cut a shirt for Pu,
it became clear that since it was jersey
 it was MASSIVE.

So for a brief second I thought it was for me...

Alas, boobs.

The shirt won't lie

A little more elastic
and then it's into rotation for the shorties.

It's mildly sorrowful, because I only had the tiniest
part of the bottom beautiful Japanese fabric.

It was one miiiiiiiiillion dollars
(and, I'm just cheap on a Wednesday)

Sewing, shooting photos, blogging,
uploading to Pinterest and Flicker,
and learning these platforms simultaneously.

I'm sleepy now.
But, that was fun.

KCWC Day 6

More pockets please mum?

She may have even used that face.
(It looks like someone stole her puppy)

Well...

her puppy is fine.

So are her pants!

However,
this little girl is busy racing through life,
not photographs.

Late at night, too late,
I scrawled "little girl you rock"
 with free motion script.

It pretty much looks like a serial killer wrote it,
drunk.

No points for penmanship.

Definite points for last minute dash to
the imaginary finish line in my head.

Long may you rock!

KCWC: Day 5. Would you like some fries with that shake?

 Oh she looks innocent enough...

but this bootie is on the move.

Up the stairs any chance she gets.

She has a little buddy who need his can
covered too.

I built in some permanent pocket pals...

which made for an unruly 'photo shoot'.
( more like a photo fling)

I guess it was a little odd that I de-panted her.

But she's used to a little odd.
She's got me after all.

More Tunic Top

I'm determined to correct
 the many mistakes I make
(just on this shirt, I mean, come on,
 life is complicated!)

Pu has a high need for pockets.

So one was requested.
Actually, next time she recommends two.

See how that hand fits right in?

I have a high need for flowers.

If our record stands this may be the only
sunny day in a while.
So we are relishing the rays.

I mean, yeah, rain makes the flowers grow!

Grow

little

doodles.

Botanical, or otherwise.
Happy weekend!
