Anti Bullying Day

Little Pu is in a kickball class,
and today the teacher told her
everyone had to wear pink tomorrow,
 because it's anti bullying day.

I used to teach anti violence workshops to girls.
And, I'll definitely teach my girls
how to break a nose
5 different ways,
just in case.

Knowledge is power after all.

Besides it's easier to be peaceful
when you're not afraid.

Well, we are not a house of pink.
And lately all clothes have been driving Pu bonkers.
But when I asked her if she wanted me
to make her
a pinkish shirt she said yes!

I had three stash fabrics with pink bits.
She chose the polka dots.

Tomorrow will be a test.

What will win?
The 'pink' or the bully clothes?

Update:
The shirt lost to Pu's anti clothes position.

Thank goodness for Nu.

Instant hand-me-downs.

Formal Wear?

There was a 50% off sale at our local fabric haunt,
and so I found myself choosing strange things.

Why not? Sorts of things.

Like sequins.

And then suddenly I knew why!

I think this is my favorite dress so far.

Simple.

Subtle.

And bedazzled!

Very Liza Minnelli.

OK maybe not exactly Liza.

But Chuckles liked it.

Oh wait, she likes everything.

Except standing still for one second.

Sweet Valentine's

A little Valentine's Love for the shorties.

Garlands

And waffles.

Flutter Frock

A booty view.

Allo bonjour.

Love the tweet pattern.

I suspect all photos will be taken here from here in.
Voracious "reader".

Cheese- ball photo extraordinaire!

When I had a second girl I thought, yeah hand me downs!
However they are a few seasons off.
Therefore Nu needs some togs.

Another new top to go with her mama made pantaloons.

Someone is very pleased with her ability to climb the ottoman.

What to wear in a nest of literature.

A Glitter Frock

It started out as an A line dress
but met with the usual inability to follow instructions
and so...

became a little peasant blouse.

With or without ribbon sash.

Look how hard Nu is studying.
Too bad it's upside down.

Gotta encourage an alternative view of things.

A Little Garland

A celebration was in order.

One of the short people got a little older.

An easy peas-y little paper garland.

To use & reuse

For future festing.

Poor Gnomey

Post sewing machine 'incident',
I inexplicably decided it would be an opportune time to begin
needle felting.

For those of you not familiar,
it demands one thrust sharp needles into the chosen object
repeatedly and with great zest.

Yes.
I did stab my sewn finger with the needle.
Yes.
More than once.

No,
I'm not the brightest bulb in the fixture.
But, I am determined!

Therefore,
this hideous mess was the result!

I 'adapted' this tutorial.

I thought you know, just change the gnomes hat colour.
No big whoop.

Well, wrong.

My sweetie innocently asked me if I was making Marge Simpson.

Sigh.

It was sort of satisfying.
 Instead of turning to
drink or drug when faced with my next rage-o-holic frenzy,
I may consider the fun in stabbing little dolls.

Could voodoo be far away?
