I am playing along with Katy from
nobigdill.com as she
Sews through the 26 letters of the alphabet
Today is all about "R".
I love this crazy fabric!
I mean,
are these guys just cardinals,
or cardinals wearing sunglasses?
Who am I to judge?
I think they may also be smirking,
which makes me respect them more.
It's like they're in on the joke.
If there is one.
These punks are in on it.
It's Cardinal Stagger Organic Cotton Fabric
by Charley Harper for Birch Fabrics.
And the avian are Red so they
totally count for R.
I like it enough that,
I bought more than one shirt worth.
I made a size 3 and a size 5.
My 7 year old
(who hates everything I make)
tried on the 5 and it was a hit.
I used Jess's Nessie Top pattern
and this time I read it with my eyes open.
Soooo... Yeah!
The four year old,
has on the 2 year old's
who's napping and therefore not yelling...
WHERE'S MY SHIRT?!
It's possible I may "have" to churn out #3
and then take a slightly barfy, slightly matchy
matchy photo of all 3.
A girl's gotta do it once in a while.
This last snap is of Pu doing some weird stretch
But I felt it aptly captured the
distorted super model contortions
that I demand from all my local talent.
